1) Wednesday July 30, 7pm: Corpus Christi Prayer Group, Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Maiden Lane

We are meeting as usual from 7pm to say the Rosary and this will be followed by prayer and adoration accompanied by a terrific musical ensemble who are praying twice. Come and join us for some social time in the Coal Hole pub afterwards.

We will be breaking the last two weeks of August.

2) August 21-Sat August 25, Youth 2000 prayer festival - The Journey@Walsingham

The brilliant Fiona Mansford may be stepping down as MD, but before departs to do other great work, get your rosaries at the ready and head to the national Marian shrine of Walsingham for Youth 2000's annual five-day prayer festival. This year is the 25th anniversary. So many young lives have been transformed through the ministry and are spreading truth and joy today as a result. Accommodation is a tent in a field and all you need is a sleeping bag, some warm clothes, a torch and a bible. There will be a programme of adoration, speakers, workshops, healing and reconciliation services. The rest is down to you and Our Lord in this sacred place.
Find out more at: www.youth2000.org (just been on the website and it's very impressive).

3) Natural Family Planning course

For those who would like to know more about how to increase the chances of and/or avoid pregnancy using the physical means that God has built into human nature and which are sanctioned by the Church, please see details of a home study NFP course. Natural Family Planning: The Complete Approach by John and Sheila Kippley can be accessed athttp://www.nfpandmore.org/

4) Downing St petition to help Christians in Mosul

The Christians in Mosul, northern Iraq, have fled under pain of death from ISIS and some have already been martyred at the hands of the extremists, so please take a moment to click on the following e-petition http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/67803. to hopefully persuade David Cameron that we are still a Christian country and that he ought to try do more to help them; and at least show leadership and raise awareness by not remaining silent.
