Wednesday 30 April - Catholic Voices Speaker Training Deadline

Catholic Voices is preparing to train up another cadre of lay people on how to speak about the Catholic Church and its teachings to the media. The training starts in the Autumn. The organisation was started in preparation for the Pope's visit in 2010 and has since flourished and inspired similar initiatives across the world. If you think this could be for you, register your interest at http://www.catholicvoices.org.uk/event/fifth-national-speakers-training-london-sept-dec-2014. Wednesday is the closing date.

Night Fever, Saturday, May 3, 6pm-10.30pm, St Patrick's, Soho, 21a Soho Square, London W1D 4NR

No, it's not John Travolta getting on down. It's a group of wonderful Catholics who walk the streets of Soho in pairs with a lantern on a Saturday night and invite passers by into St Patrick's Soho Square to light a candle in front of the Blessed Sacrament. Even if it's only a minute or two in which that person is in the Church, it can be transformative. Whatever you feel called to do, go out on to the streets and invite people in, be part of the music ministry or just quietly pray in the Church, you would be very welcome. Through the Eyes of Mary, Exhibition, Sunday 11 May, 4-6pm, St Patricks Catholic Church, Dundee Street, Wapping, E1W 2PH, Sunday

May is the month of Our Lady and in honour of her, the artist community based at St Patrick's, Wapping is holding an exhibition at the church: Through the Eyes of Mary. It is a prayerful reflection in words and music exploring Mary's story. The event will feature art, prose, poetry and music. It will be a beautiful way to come closer to Our Lady in this her month. The event will be followed by candlelit mass at 6.30pm. See attached flyer.

That's all folks!
