May 7 at Corpus Christi: Mass with Fr Anthony Doe

Dear all here is the weekly round up of what's happening at CCPG and further afield.  Tomorrow we will be celebrating Mass with Fr Anthony Doe

1) Corpus Christi Prayer Group
2) Through the Eyes of Mary exhibition
3) Talk on the Internet and Evangelisation
4) Youth 2000 Ball

Wednesday 7 May, 7pm: Corpus Christi Prayer Group, Corpus Christi Catholic Church, Maiden Lane

Please come and join us for Rosary from 7pm. Rosary will be followed by our customary Mass to start the month. We would love to see you in the pub afterwards. The restoration of Corpus Christi continues apace. Fittingly, in the month of Our Lady, work will start on a new lady chapel, which will include a beautiful new window and new carving of Our Lady of Walsingham: it will surely be one of the most beautiful lady chapels in London.

Through the Eyes of Mary - A prayerful reflection in words, art and music. 11 May, St Patrick's Catholic Church, Dundee St, Wapping E1W 2PH

This coming Sunday there will be an exhibition of art, poetry, prose and music: Through the Eyes of Mary at St Patrick's Church in Wapping from 4-6pm. This a chance to take an hour or so to reflect on Our Lady's journey through the mediums of words and pictures. The exhibition will be followed by a candlelit mass. All would be most welcome. See attached flyer

Talk on the Internet and Evangelisation by Peter Berners-Lee. Friday 16 May, 8pm, Ss Alban & Stephen Parish Centre, 14-16 Beaconsfield Road, AL1 3RB (2 mins from St Albans City Station).

We all know about the dangers of the internet, but Peter Berners-Lee - a software development manager, founder of the faithknowledge.org search engine and married father of three children - will be giving a talk about the possibilities of using the internet for the good and acquiring the skills to use this powerful tool to evangelise. Amen. The talk for 20s/30s will be followed by discussion and food. Please email welcome@ssasva.org.uk if you would like to come.

Youth 2000 Black-tie fundraising summer ball, Saturday 14 June, The Thistle Hotel, Street, Bryanston St, Marble Arch, London, W1H 7EH, 6pm until midnight

The Catholic charity Youth 2000 puts on retreats all over the country at which young people have returned to their faith through encountering Jesus in the Eucharist. It's very important mission that over the years has helped to rescue many lost souls and the summer ball is one of its key fundraising events. Tickets are £70 but well worth it. The night starts with a drinks reception, followed by a 3-course dinner and the Youth 2000 talent auction. There will of course be plenty of opportunity to cut shapes on the dance floor in front of a live band. It will be lots of fun and it's in a very good cause.
