Spirit in the City, June 11-14

Here's an early heads up on the Spirit in the City Catholic festival at the Central London churches Notre Dame, St Patrick's Soho Square and Our Lady of the Assumption and St Gregory. The event includes Eucharistic adoration, talks, workshops, music from a stage in Leicester Square Gardens and street outreach. There is a Eucharistic procession from St Patrick's to Corpus Christi from 8.15pm on Friday June 13 - a great opportunity to witness to your faith and proclaim the kingdom of God as the Blessed Sacrament makes its journey through Central London. Here's a link to the programme: http://www.spiritinthecity.org/programme-htm Volunteers are needed. If you are interested in helping out, or at least finding out what this might involve, please contract info@spiritinthecity.org tel: 020 7440 2663

Youth 2000 black-tie fundraising summer ball, Saturday 14 June, The Thistle Hotel, Street, Bryanston St, Marble Arch, London, W1H 7EH, 6pm until late

The Catholic charity Youth 2000 puts on retreats at which young people have returned to their faith through encountering Jesus in the Eucharist. It's very important mission that has helped to rescue many lost souls and the summer ball is one of its key fundraising events. Tickets are £70 but well worth it. The night starts with a drinks reception, followed by a 3-course dinner and the Youth 2000 talent auction and live music. It's going to be really awesome and it's in a very good cause.

That's all folks!
